Are you on the recreational trail and feel like exploring the surrounding area? Don't worry, we've got you covered. The trail offers a few off-trail loops that will allow you to discover some of the community's best-kept secrets.
In addition to the recreational trail, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell region has long been developing its cycling offer. On the road and in the forest, the cyclist will find several hundred kilometers of pleasure here.
LAROSE FOREST
The century-old Larose Forest is crisscrossed by more than 180 kilometers of roads and trails that are ideal for hiking and mountain biking. In winter, you can enjoy 60 km of marked trails for cross-country skiing (no skating and classic), snowshoeing and fatbiking. The trails are less than half an hour from Ottawa and 45 minutes from Hawkesbury.
CYCL-O-ROUTE
Highlighting the majestic Ottawa River, three cycle loops have been developed in a partnership between the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and the Quebec RCMs of Argenteuil and Papineau. More information can be found on the Cycl-O-Route website.
SHOULDERS
For several years, careful attention has been paid to paving wide and silky shoulders. The cycling network now extends over more than 200 kilometers of peaceful and rolling roads.
